Golf Tips
To Improve Your Swing

If you are a
beginner at the game of golf, then you surely would be
familiar with the single plane golf swing. In fact, this
type of swing just might be the perfect place to start for
you to develop your own unique style to your swing. This is
because this type of swing is the easiest to learn. Yes, the
swing is quite easy to look at, especially when you look at
it being executed by professional golfers on TV. However, it
is not really as easy as it may seem. And if you want to
learn this type of swing, then it would be better to equip
yourself with certain tips in mind.
When learning the
swing, it would also help to differentiate it from its
double counterpart. What makes the single different from the
double? It is actually the placement of the golfer’s arms
and shoulders that would differ here. For the single swing,
your arms and your shoulders should actually stay locked all
throughout the swing. This allows you to create a strong and
sturdy triangle with your arms and shoulders. With the
double plane, however, your elbows remain unlocked so that
you can create have a higher backswing. You can then create
more torque and power for your drive. This is the advantage
that you can have with the double plane. But this does not
mean that the single plane does not have anything up its
sleeve because single plane golfers actually notice that
their swings are more accurate as compared to the double.
Still, this is not something clearly established yet for
this is just an observation made by professional golfers in
the circuit.
What all golfers
have to take note is that there is actually no right or
wrong way of executing the swing. This means that everything
is dependent on your personal swinging style. Just like any
other activity in life, there are many ways to achieve the
perfect swing, and what may be the perfect swing for you
just may not be perfect for another golfer out there. This
is precisely why there are two different kinds of golf
swings, the single and the double.
But if you are just
starting out, then it is really better to begin with the
single plane. This is actually one huge difference between
the hobbyists and the professionals. Most of the hobbyists
out there prefer to go with the single plane, as there is no
one to beat competitively amongst beginners and fellow
hobbyists. On the other hand, professionals prefer the
double plane since there is a more competitive atmosphere
entailed here. Also, since the double plane is more
complicated than the single plane golf swing, it is highly
understandable for the amateur to go with the simpler
one.
