Golf Swing Trend

                             golf swing trend

The latest trend in the PGA is actually the stack and tilt golf swing. This has certainly become quite the popular swing amongst the many PGA players. At present, there are already over 20 professionals who are using this particular swing, and for what reason? This is purely because the swing works very, very well. Employing the technique effectively will certainly give you swings that are more consistent and longer. And this is something that has truly amazed the lot of professional golfers on the green.

So, what exactly is the concept of the stack and tilt? The first thing to remember is to have 60% of your weight on yourdominant or lead foot. This is when you are assuming the address stage, which is the first stage of the golf swing. As you execute the downswing and you near the transitional stage, the weight on your dominant foot should slowly increase from 60% to 80%. This is actually not different in any way from the traditional golf swing. Yet.

The traditional golf swing would have you shifting your weight onto your back foot when executing the backswing and then reshifting it back to your dominant or lead foot at just about the same time your club hits your ball, right? With the stack and tilt, however, your weight is on your dominant foot at the very start. During the whole course of the swing, your weight would still be on your dominant foot. There is no transfer of weight from the lead to the back at all. This does go against the biomechanics and physics that come with the traditional golf swing, right? Surprisingly, it works wonders.

You have to remember to keep your spin vertically aligned when you execute the stack and tilt. This is very important, since your downswing here should entail the traditional swing's exact opposite. When you reach transition, you should have roughly 70 to 80% of your weight on your lead foot already, still with your aligned spine over your ball. Imagine yourself as a swing coiling up and suddenly unwinding. This is what happens with the stack and tilt.

You just may find it difficult to keep yourself from shifting your weight when you try to learn the stack and tilt golf swing. This is especially true if you have already mastered your tempo and beat in terms of weight transfer. However, as soon as you master this particular aspect, you will definitely notice significant improvement in your swings in terms of power and consistency. Pretty soon, you will become the talk of the circuit.
