Golf Swing
Technique

When it comes
to perfecting your personal golf swing, you need to learn
the various golf swing techniques which can help you along
the way. When starting to learn playing golf, many beginners
are often interested in starting off properly by making sure
they learn the proper techniques.
The first thing you will need to learn to
do is to learn to make sure your swing path is free of
anything that can impede your swing. What this means is that
as you walk up to the ball, as part of your address, make
sure that there are no leaves, stones or anything in the
immediate path of the straight-line between you and the
target area. This will also give you a chance to visualize
the alignment of the shot from a different perspective long
before you address the shot.
Making sure that you are then gripping the
golf club correctly is the next big step when looking for
the proper golf swing techniques. During this period, you
may have to adjust the grip of the club a couple of times
till it is comfortable and relaxed as well as your thumb
being on top of the grip and pointing towards the toe of the
head.
Some people prefer an interlocking grip on
the club, while others do not. In the interlocking grip, the
index and pinky finger of one another hand will be
interlocked and helps to maintain a comfortable grip on the
club while at the same time allowing you to maintain control
of the club without needing to grip it too tightly as a grip
that is too tight can result in a sliced
ball.
From this point, you need to focus on your
stance with your hands no further or closer than the
distance of one palm’s distance from the body and that
throughout the entire swing, you body stays relaxed. One
cannot overemphasize the importance of a relaxed posture
during the swing. A proper golf swing technique is one that
is performed flawlessly or in simpler terms, the ball goes
roughly where you want it and to do so, a relaxed body is
very important to achieve this. The arms need to be kept
straight while at the same time relaxed and the knees need
to stay relaxed and bent to achieve the best contact with
the ball ensuring it goes where you want it rather than on
the next green over.
