Golf Swing
Sequence

When it comes to the golf swing, there are a number of golf
swing sequences which when performed in the right order as well
as properly every time, will result in consistent strikes and
placement of the golf ball. While there are 6 stages, the
sequences can be broken down into the three of which are most
important. These three golf swing sequences start with the
backswing and end w2ith the follow through.
Starting with the address, one realizes that the stance and
direction of the body prior to even starting the swing plays a
vital role in the ultimate placement of the ball. From here,
you begin the back swing which is the lifting of the club
behind you in preparation of the strike. A bad location at the
end of the back swing can fundamentally disrupt the future
sequences resulting in your golf ball ending up somewhere you
did not plan.
After the back swing you have the transitional stage which is
usually earmarked by the transition of your weight from one
foot to another in preparation of the downswing. From this
point you start the down swing and throughout the course of the
down swing, your entire body and its weight are being pivoted
and shifted in such a way that a vast amount of power and
torque are created just moments prior to striking the
ball.
Making contact with the ball happens in less than a millisecond
and is actually just a matter of coincidence that the ball
happens to be in the path of the swing. The reason anyone
should bear this I mind, is that it is the contact with the
ball which has too many people over thinking ands as a result
they are choking the grip too tightly and therefore slicing
their ball.
After contact with the ball is made you then have the
follow-through which is the deceleration and discharge of the
built up power and torque created during the downswing and is
very important to the body as a means of preventing
injury.
All in all though, the completion of all these stages and golf
swing sequences is a pivotal part of the fulfillment of the
game. If anyone of these are not performed flawlessly then the
ending result will be a les than satisfactory swing and ball
placement.
